I am a geek. I am Geek-ish
My introduction to the geek-ish brand was in 2017 through one of my friends, It was a black geek-ish hoodie. I remember it like it was yesterday, it was love at first sight. It was one of those few times where a clothing item speaks to you and you start hearing voices saying “buy me”. The style was very minimalistic and sent a strong message out. To me it was more than just a hoodie, it was more like being allowed to purchase an identity and to give it a positive affiliation or meaning to the term “geek”.
By definition being a geek is being intensely interested in a subject or thing that is unpopular with mainstream society. The term is usually used for people interested in computers, science and technology in general, members of the society that are often misunderstood for their passion for the things they love. You can only imagine being a geek isn’t exactly easy or popular and can yield some negative experiences. However there is always more to a person than their interest in one thing, there is another side to their story other interests and hobbies. A whole social life. So when Infinity Lines of Code introduced Geek-ish it gave the term geek a positive affiliation, it felt like a call to all geeks out there to walk tall with their heads held up high and say I am proud to be a geek. Geek-ish apparel is a form of expression for people called names like geek, nerd or dork. It’s a reminder to society that there is a lot of ish they can learn about geeks if they take the time.
I am Delia, I am passionate about computer programming, robots, beauty products and live music. To me Geek-ish is more than just a brand, it is part of an identity I am proud of. I am GEEK-ish!
